More Rock Band iPhone App Tracks Coming

A free version of the Rock Band iPhone came out yesterday, and supplemented with this bit of information, it’s clear that EA is still committed to this project.  Kotaku reached out to EA and received word back from them that “some new premium tracks will soon be available at a low price on the music store.”  In relation to the console and portable versions of Rock Band, tracks for the iPhone app are $.99 for 2 tracks, so if you enjoy the game on the iPhone, it’s actually a pretty good deal.  Although, I wouldn’t expect any tracks to show up on the iPhone app that haven’t showed up on the console versions.

Rock Band Mobile in Action (and AT&T Bashing)

Noticed this over at Gizmodo.com today on my lunch break.  Looks like someone was able to capture (poorly) the new Verizon Wireless commercial.  I watched it for one reason, the A&T bashing (I’m a proud iPhone owner… but I’m also on T-Mobile.  Not sure if there is anything in the world that would convince me to go over to AT&T, honestly.)  But as I hit play on the video, I noticed at the beginning of the advertisement that they show a few seconds of Rock Band Mobile in action.  Check out the commerical below:

I also noticed this today on Twitter (via @vehiclewrap): these advertisements below will soon start appearing on buses.  Looks like the Rock Band Mobile commercial advertising push is starting!

OFFICIAL Rock Band iPhone App Coming?!

Rock Band iPhone

Not sure how I missed this a few days ago…

According to Rock Band’s new Bar Night’s FAQ page, there was a nice little mention to a popular, music playing, touchscreen phone…

You’ll be able to find official Rock Band Bar Nights near you through our location finder coming soon to RockBand.com. If you are on the go, you’ll also be able to download our free iPhone app, where you can search for Rock Band Bar Nights by zip code or GPS. Stay tuned for more info on these upcoming features!

OK, I know I’m a gushing fanboy when it comes to all things Rock Band, but with the Beatles a few days away, the Rock Band Network going live before the end of the year, and a handy-dandy iPhone app telling me where the closest officially-sanctioned Rock Band Bar Night is to my current location, I’m a happy lil guy!

Rock Band Coming to a Phone Near You
