RUMOR: Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” Coming as DLC?
Well, this would be pretty amazing if true, but I’m going to go ahead and say right now that this is definitely a rumor for now, so let’s not get our hopes too far up (too late, I know). I’ve always thought Pink Floyd might not be a band that would be charted very easily or very well for Rock Band. Anyway, I’m including the quote and link to the original rumor posting below.
Time to “Run Like Hell” people. You heard it here first. The Wall, Pink Floyds double album is in the works at Harmonix. Marketing head Carl Weathers explains “With the success of the Beatles RockBand, Pink Floyd’s The Wall was an obvious choice”. Working closely with Roger Waters the wizards at Harmonix are prepping The Wall to be a huge event.
Hmm… So is this DLC or Pink Floyd: Rock Band? No other details are available at this time. Feel free to speculate in the comments as to the validity of the rumor…

Well, this is HUGE for Floyd fans.
I am not a big fan myself, but either way, this is encouraging news for the fans.
I’m just going to go ahead and believe this. If only because. I’m not a great fan either, but the idea of playing the whole The Wall from beginning to end… ouch.
But all the pauses for loading between songs? Hm. A Pink Floyd game could theoretically be designed around that technical limitation of RB2 (it can still split albums and give scores per song, just don’t interrupt the flow unless absolutely necessary!)
Also for the PF game: the idea of the whole album. Pulse would’ve been my choice for DLC, rather than The Wall, if only because it represents a lot more Floyd. But having this for PF:RB, with DSotM and more coming… yeah, that’d work.
Points if anything/everything is exportable. Microsoft ones if it’s DLC.
Meh, Harmonix will never be able to chart it right, I know, if there’s someone who knows how to screw up a chart for any other instrument than guitar, is Harmonix. Example: “we will rock you”, not too excited, they’ll screw up the charts I KNOW
I hope it’s just DLC… I really hate the idea of band games. I mean at least Green Day:RB lets you export the songs but I still have to pay for the feature after all ready buying the game. I’d rather just pay once and get the tracks to play on RB2.
This blogger has put up a bunch of other “fake” joke news posts with quotes from people that simply couldn’t be real.
