This is a fucking awesome week.

Bad Religion is in my top 2 favorite bands by the way.

  • Drpepperfan says:

    The Stooges!? Awesome!

  • bwp23 says:

I Wanna Be Your Dog! I have been wanting this song forever, so this weeks this a great week straight off. The addition of two other really great Stooges tracks (particularly No Fun) is even better.

I’ve never really listened to much Bad Religion, but I do like their songs in RB thus far, so (pending listening to the tracks), it may be a clean sweep for me this week.

I JUST heard that song for the first time yesterday! Creepy!

The other band that I heard along with it was “Television,” I believe, who I had never heard of but LOVED the song that they played.

You have been introduced to some great punk/proto-punk/garage there, my friend! Marquee Moon by Television (both song and album) is a must for RB.

It’s always weird when you have that coincidences about DLC. I remember I had a huge premonition that Losing My Religion was going to come out the week it did. Alas, thinking that more R.E.M. was coming out has failed to work again, but it won’t stop me trying :P

It was the song “Prove It,” and I thought it was an old Violent Femmes song that I had never heard. VERY good song. I may have to start checking out more punk stuff now!

Insanely fun The Stooges pack! Wow. HMX is on fire!

  • Taker says:

Stooges – Search and Destroy in Rock band 3 confirmed?

    zigs Reply:

I’m glad they didn’t say I Wanna Be Your Dog for RB3. As great as it is, the one-note piano throughout would be boring as hell for the keyboard player :P

    RockBandAide Reply:

Hopefully. Don’t know much punk music, but that song RULES!!!!!

    HeyRiles Reply:

Naw way, Down on the Street is a much better fit

    lunatic Reply:

after listening to down on the street i can’t hear any keys. i don’t think they’ll put any songs on the rb3 disc if it has no keys whatsoever. groovy song though.

  • zigs says:

    Fuck yes.

I genuinely think “I Wanna Be Your Dog” is one of the best songs ever. Ever! “1969″ is incredible too, definitely psyched for both of them.

Not familiar with those Bad Religion songs, but their stuff rarely disappoints.

  • Razer says:

Wow, where did No Control come from? I’ve been wanting stuff from that album for the longest time, especially I Want to Conquer the World, You, and Big Bang. Hopefully those follow soon! Two great Bad Religion songs is always a good week for me.

    non_zero Reply:

    Yeah, me too.

Check out this custom I did for I Want to Conquer the World: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ShOdEKq98s

Not perfect, but it could look something like that.

    RockBandAide Reply:

    AWESOME!!!

    lunatic Reply:

    looks good to me

  • Aw. says:

I’ve been waiting for The Stooges to be in Rock Band for FOREVER. Especially the song “No Fun”. It’s perfect for the game.

This will be the first time I’ve bought DLC in months :D

  • decyphersmc says:

The Stooges… why don’t they get a real band like REFUSED?!!

but seriously, Stooges coming is pretty awesome. Can’t believe I haven’t played any Stooges since Guitar Hero 2.

  • killer_roach says:

Pretty solid… not really a fan of punk rock, but I can get behind The Stooges and Bad Religion.

  • Chess Kitty says:

aww, I was realllly hoping the Bad Religion song would be ‘I Love My Computer’. ‘Infected’, ‘American Jesus’ or ‘Sinister Rouge’ would have been nice too. But I’m not complaining =) I’ll just hope for any of them in the future.

    RockBandAide Reply:

I love “Infected,” too! I’ll have to check out the others!

    non_zero Reply:

I Love My Computer has harmonies and piano.

I THINK YOU KNOW WHERE I’M GOING WITH THIS

  • jimmyinnernets says:

Very cool DLC! I’m not sure how fun they will be to play on guitar and bass, but the drums and vox should be great.

  • skydog says:

The stooges are a band that reminds me of a dying cat… but I guess that’s my opinion.. will never buy their “CRAP [as i would like to call it]”

Gonna take a listen to Bad Religion.

    lunatic Reply:

    can an opinion be wrong?
in this case, yes, it most certainly can.

  • Andy says:

Have both of Bad Religion’s songs already in the game and they are both great, very tempted by these new additions.

  • gordofredito says:

I suspected “I Wanna Be Your Dog” was gonna be in Rock Band, it was in the soundtrack of the Runnaways. Meh, acceptable DLC, not getting it anyways

  • QuestionMark says:

Some proto-punk, very cool. And Bad Religion is great as well. It’s odd that we’ve gotten 4 songs from them without getting “infected”, which I believe is their biggest hit. Hopefully it’s in the can for rb3 or rb3 dlc.

    killer_roach Reply:

Hey, it worked with my theory on Burning Down The House, so you might be onto something.
