Rock Band 3 Dropping October 26 (Officially)
While there still has been no OFFICIAL word (see update below) regarding the release date of Rock Band 3, I’m going to go ahead and call it now. Look for Rock Band 3 to be released on Tuesday, October 26, 2010! (FOUR days before my birthday… just sayin’!) The placeholder date that we have seen of October 31 has been revised in most places (Gamestop, Amazon) to Tuesday the 26th already, when most new titles are released.
As is customary with Europe and elsewhere, expect to see the “simultaneous worldwide release” take three days to arrive overseas on October 29th, similar to how previous titles have been released abroad on Fridays. This makes sense as UK retailers Zavvi and HMV are currently both saying October 29th.
If I was a betting man, expect to see a statement from Harmonix on this VERY soon, as well as possibly a few more songs to add to the existing setlist!
UPDATE 1: Harmonix has now confirmed the 26th as the official release date here.
UPDATE 2: According to ComputerandVideoGames.com, EA has confirmed that Rock Band 3 will be released in the UK (and presumably, all of Europe) on October 29th.

Sweet! Now I can count down the days.
Someone should check this with that psychic octopus before betting money on it.
)
Expecting a statement soon from Harmonix on this very soon is a very redundant statement…of redundancy
My piggybank is going to be empty, what with this and Fallout: New Vegas so far

3 days after mine…
Damn. I was really liking that Sept 24 date. Looks like no RB3 at the wedding
Since when does “simultaneous worldwide release” mean a three day gap? I’m really hoping it drops on the Tuesday here in the UK too, would be irritated if not :/

There always have been gaps of a few days around simultaneous worldwide releases. It’s nothing to be worried about in the slightest. As a general rule, anything outside North America has to wait a few more days.

I’m pretty sure games are similar to films in the UK as well, as in they’re released on specific days of a week.
New films come out on Friday or some thing like that, pretty sure games work on the same rule.
If it’s your wedding you’re probably better off since your performance might be expedited with the anticipation to play.
I was going to ask if an Australian release had been confirmed, but then remembered that it didn’t matter, considering my other two copies of rock band are from America, and I’ll have to buy the US versions if i want to keep using my DLC. *mumble* *mumble* stupid region encoding on a supposedly region free device.
awwwww. I want it in September! That’s another month of non pro DLC
16 days after my birthday? nice i’ll just have to ask for just money this year.
Electronic Arts has officially stated thatr Rock band 3 will come out on Nov 2nd in Germany…
Ugh “World Wide Simultaneous Release” my foot.. you know a few days is a big deal in all that time..
Chances for 1st FCs go out the window, and as always that puts the rest of us behind because of where we live :/
Awesome, only 56 days after my birthday.
The 26th is the North American release date, to be specific. No word yet on other countries

Schweet. I was hesitant to get excited over that date before it was confirmed. That gives me three months to save up then…
