Partial Green Day: Rock Band Track Listing Revealed? (RUMOR)
Looks like we may already have an update as to what songs we can expect to be seeing in Green Day: Rock Band. Sent to me from @toymachinesh, and posted on Scorehero.com is the image above, which looks to be like a Canadian scan of Green Day: Rock Band for the Wii. (ESRB rating, French description markings… hence, Canada.) There are 22 songs listed, which means there are 25 still not listed. Click on the image above for a higher res image, but here’s the tracks that are listed on the back of the game:
- 21st Century Breakdown
- American Idiot
- Basket Case
- Before the Lobotomy
- Boulevard of Broken Dreams
- Brain Stew
- Chump
- Geek Stink Breath
- Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)
- Holiday
- Homecoming
- Horseshoes and Handgrenades
- Jesus of Suburbia
- Longview

Agreed 100%!
I was really really hoping for those songs!
Oh man i hope thats real, because Homecoming would be so fun to play.
Oh hey, over half are from the last two cd’s. That’s highly disappointing and not at all surprising. Hopefully that’s all of them. (I don’t even hate the last two, I’d just prefer all the cd’s were equally represented..)
Why don’t they just call it “Rock Band: The Songs the Kids at Hot Topic Like”? Too much new stuff for my tastes. Wake me up when some Kerplunk stuff is announced. See what I did there?

Yeah I see what you did. You said “I’m a pompous elitist douche” in a whole new way.
I enjoy that the screengrab they used for the back cover is of a chordfest. You’d think they’d show a moment of more interesting melody, just for the sake of posterity.
Doesn’t this mean we’ve actually got 24 of the 47 instead of 22? It would make sense as they demoed “Jaded” along with “Brain Stew” (I guess it remains to be seen if they treat this as one or two) and “Hitchin’ A Ride” last night, right?
Bad feeling this is fake, Song of the centry is less then 30 seconds long
* Basket Case
* Brain Stew
* Chump
* Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)
* Homecoming
* Longview
* St. Jimmy
* Welcome to Paradise
* When I Come Around
Well, I’m sold. Hell, I was sold from the outset, simply because Dookie exists and is going to get several songs on this game.
“Bad feeling this is fake, Song of the centry is less then 30 seconds long”
So is “Her Majesty”.
Song of the Century…that’s not even a song. That just loops into 21st century breakdown.
What throws me about this is the spine. That’s the traditional Rock Band logo – one that has been completely abandoned in the regular GD:RB logo. Why exactly would they be inconsistent about that? It doesn’t even look good.
Additionally, if you look at the back cover, you can see mysterious dark red regions that look a lot like the shape of the band from the front cover – more than likely Photoshopped out. I’m calling fake on this.
I stand by my statement about Dookie, however.
Wow, I’m blind. The back cover’s text is repeated once, so it says the same thing twice. Even if you consider that it might be translated into other languages later, Nintendo covers would have three different languages on them, not two. And that’s only a first-party thing.
And that screenshot, which I’m guessing is taken from one of the two recent trailers, is perfectly placed to cover up a pesky GD:RB logo that might have come from the front of the box.
It also mentions Rock Band 3 in the fine print, which won’t be released at the time of GD:RB. Unless there’s something in the manual (or otherwise) that mentions Rock Band 3. I don’t know why RBN would be mentioned, though.

Rock Band 3 was referenced in the press release I received. It confirms that the tracks exported from this game will play in Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and Rock Band 3.
Uhh.. does anyone else think it’s odd that it says it uses a Nunchuk in the top right corner?
Did the Rock Band 2 case have that?
I’m leaning towards the fake side on this one. Look at the spacing between ‘Wake Me Up…’ and ‘When I Come Around’
Yea, this looks very fake to me. I’ve listed a few reasons above, not the least of which being the back cover looks like it’s had three head-shaped blobs erased from it.
Oh, I can think of plenty of reasons this is fake. The Sound defense, MarkEightThree, and Matt have all listed very good reasons, and I have a few more to contribute:
1. The controller listing. Since when does any Rock Band game require a Wii nunchuck? The Wii games thus far have all suggested that they need two Wiimotes, as well (LRB even suggests four!).
2. Good Riddance has no drum track; I can’t imagine that being an on-disc song simply because of that.
3. Lack of variation on the “Build a Band, Rock the World” slogan that the RB series is famous for. And yes, I’m sure they’ll find a way to manage it–they have for AC/DC and Beatles.
4. Mention of Downloadable Content without the Pay & Play logo.
As for the duplicate English paragraphs, I think it’s pretty obvious that the second paragraph is intended to be French.
I suppose there IS the possibility that this is an in-production version of the cover design, and the final version will be a variation on this, but there’s just far too much that screams “hasty photomanip” for me to believe that this is anywhere NEAR the final version, if it’s even real.

Also:
* No other Rock Band title thus far has included the logo on the back.
* All the Harmonix Rock Band back covers thus far have included multiple screenshots with captions. I don’t see GD:RB breaking that tradition.
* No redundant “online interactions not rated by ESRB” tag for the French. In fact, the ESRB logo shown on the cover is the US one, not the Canadian one (as can be told by the fact that it’s only got English on it).
* No redundant French legalese.
Okay, at this point, pretty sure it’s not even a draft version of a legit cover.
Hopefully wake me up when september ends will be in the game, along with st jimmy.
