RBN DLC for 3/11
Well, as some of you have already noticed, we now have our first $3 songs. Blondie’s “Atomic” was put up a few days ago on Xbox Live, and now it’s label mate The Dandy Warhols are joining the exclusive $3 club with their track “Bohemian Like You.” What do you think; good move or bad move? I always had a tough time thinking a $3 song was going to sell, unless it was like “American Pie,” the full version of “Inagaddadavida,” or nearly any song by the band Yes.

Blondie – Atomic
UPDATE: The Dandy Warhols and Blondie are back in RBN playtesting, so I’ve removed the Xbox Live links for now. In the mean time, go check out World Minus One!

I’d kill to have the full version of In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida. Unfortunately it exceeds the RBN timescale of 10 mins.
Warhols!!!! YES!!!!! About time!!!
That whimper you heard was my squeal of joy being interrupted by the $3 price tag. Some serious soul-searching to do!
Back in playtesting?? NO!!!! I already told the wife and that’s like her favorite band!!!!
It would have to be something really special to wrangle $3 out of me for a song. These two songs, aren’t that special IMO.
Three dollars is asking a lot, but when your wife is madly in love with a band like this, an extra buck ain’t gonna stop her.
I’m torn, Dandy Warhols are one of my favorite bands and Bohemion Like You is one of my faves from them… I’ll bite the bullet this once!
I’m with Witticus, when you like DH, an extra buck is nothing. Hopefully World the People Together or Welcome to the Third World will be next….
Dang, I really really like Bohemian Like You, but for $3 I’ll pass. Hopefully they were pulled for a price change.
NOT COOL to say the Dandies are available, and then yank it away like that…
Zack Wilson – Moonshine Hollar
Analogue Revolution Feat. First Be – What a Trip
Those songs have been added.
I don’t know if I can think of a single artist that is worth paying $3 a song for that isn’t already available as regular DLC for cheaper.
RB has some of my favorite artists, like The Who, The Beatles, etc. and I’ve never had to pay $3 for one song from any of them, so why should these bands that aren’t as big be charging more?
