DLC for the Week of January 5th
Christmas Day and New Years always seems to throw a monkey wrench into year end announcements, and DLC is no different. We already heard about the three live McCartney tracks last week (via an initial announcement from EA rather than Harmonix), and looks like we are getting another early announcement this morning for next week’s DLC. this list scares my wallet
My wife hates when I sing I Miss You, which makes it an instant buy.
“Where are you and I’m so sorry I cannot sleep I cannot dream tonight”. I will be picking up the Blink pack.
With all these “random” blink-182 songs coming here and there, does it seem to anybody else that “One Week” and “Pinch Me” are all but confirmed as on-disc Rock Band 3 tracks? One’s their most widely known hit (I think) and the other is their best song (my opinion). HMX obviously loves them (and they’re a blast to play) so one of them has got to be up there.
Also having just done the Endless Setlist 2 for the first time last night, I am of the opinion that RB3 will have an even 100 songs. 84 is a lot to do, but after Painkiller, I could have seen myself doing 16 more — maybe. And you know they have to step up the game after RB1 had… 56?… and RB2 had 84. 84 is a lot, they don’t want *too* many on disc (especially when we’re all so good at buying DLC, where they get a lot more $$$ per track) but I think it will be > 84…

Nathan, are you maybe confusing Blink with Barenaked Ladies? Although I do agree that I would LOVE to see both One Week and Pinch Me (as well as Brian Wilson) released for RB.

Yeah, that’s definitely Barenaked Ladies there…but those would probably be fun on Rock Band. At least the vocals.

I think the Blink songs are kinda random. I’m still eagerly waiting for “Dumpweed” and “Don’t Leave Me” from Enema of the State, both of which are not only great songs, but would be really fun to play… a lot more so than “Adam’s Song”.
McCartney and Blink songs are a definite buy for me. I get paid tomorrow, too. Yay.
Finally get to pick up Rubber Soul and then these. It’s going to be a good week. Except for the fact that classes start again next Wednesday.
Now that’s a good week. Blink 182 is slowly building up a nice list of songs for Rock Band. I’m definately getting the Blink and Wings tracks I’ll have to hear what the others sound like.
